What Is an Aim Calibration Tool?

The aim calibration tool is a browser-based aim trainer that measures your mouse control across three dimensions: tracking accuracy, flick shot speed, and micro-adjustment precision. After each session, it analyzes your overshoot and undershoot patterns to give you a personalized sensitivity recommendation.

Unlike generic aim trainers, this tool is designed as a daily warmup. Each session takes about 90 seconds and gives you a consistent score you can track over time. Your aim naturally varies day to day based on fatigue and focus - this tool helps you understand that variance and adjust your sensitivity accordingly.

Everything runs in your browser using the Canvas API. No account, no download, no data sent anywhere. Use it before every gaming session as part of your warmup routine. After each session, save your result as an image or hit Challenge a Friend to share your score and dare your teammates to beat it. The tool works on both desktop and mobile - touchscreen support is built in, so mobile gamers can test their tap accuracy and reaction time too.

The Three Tests

1. Tracking Test

A target moves smoothly across the arena. Keep your crosshair on it as long as possible. This tests your ability to maintain smooth, consistent mouse movement - the foundation of good aim in games like Valorant and CS2.

2. Flick Test

Targets appear at random positions around the arena. Click each one as fast as possible. This tests your flick shot speed and accuracy - critical for first-shot duels and peeking corners.

3. Micro-Adjustment Test

Small targets appear near the center of the arena, requiring precise small movements. This tests your fine motor control and the ability to make tiny corrections - essential for headshots at medium to long range.

How to Use

  1. Optionally enter your current DPI and sensitivity for a personalized recommendation. On mobile, these fields are optional - the tool still measures your tap accuracy and reaction time.
  2. Click "Start Calibration". A 3-second countdown gives you time to position your mouse.
  3. Complete all three tests. Each lasts about 20-25 seconds.
  4. Review your score, stats, and sensitivity recommendation.
  5. Run it daily before gaming. Track your score over time to see improvement.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the aim calibration tool work?

The tool runs three short exercises: a tracking test (follow a moving target), a flick test (snap to targets that appear at random positions), and a micro-adjustment test (hit small targets that require precise corrections). It measures your reaction time, accuracy, overshoot rate, and consistency, then compares your results to your baseline to give a sensitivity recommendation.

What does the sensitivity recommendation mean?

After each session, the tool analyzes your overshoot and undershoot patterns. If you consistently overshoot targets, it suggests lowering your sensitivity by a small percentage. If you undershoot or are slow to reach targets, it suggests raising it. The recommendation is a starting point - try it for a few sessions before making permanent changes.

How often should I use this tool?

Daily, ideally before your gaming session as a warmup. 3-5 minutes of calibration exercises significantly improves your in-game performance by warming up your muscle memory and giving you a feel for your current sensitivity. Your scores will naturally vary day to day based on fatigue, sleep, and caffeine.

What is a good score?

Reaction time under 220ms is excellent for gaming. Accuracy above 80% is good; above 90% is pro-level. Consistency (low variance between shots) matters more than raw speed. The tool tracks your personal baseline over sessions so you can see improvement over time.

Does this work without a gaming mouse?

Yes, it works with any mouse or trackpad. However, the sensitivity recommendations are most useful if you use a gaming mouse with adjustable DPI. The tool measures your input behavior regardless of hardware.
